Exploring Kings Park in Perth

Whether travelling through Perth for the first time, a fellow national just visiting for a period, or a local who hasn’t gotten out and about for a while, a visit to Kings Park is a must.

One of the truly iconic landmarks of Perth, Kings Park offers astounding views of the city and it’s surrounds, right across to the Perth Hills in the distance. Views cover other landmarks such as the widest expanses of the Swan River, the Crown Casino, the South Perth foreshore and much much more.

Kings Park as a Fitness Venue

In addition to the incredible views, Kings Park serves as one of the premiere fitness venues in Perth.

There are numerous hiking trails throughout the whole park, covering endless kilometres. You have the option of paved or trail. In addition, there are harder hike paths such as Kokoda Trail or the notorious Jacobs Ladder stairs. A must for any fitness buff. There is a small outdoor gym setup at the bottom too.

It’s hard to find a more pictureque venue for a jog or stroll.

A Recreation Hotspot

Looking for a place to take the family for a picnic? Trying to impress a date with a romantic evening outdoors? Want to catch up with a few friends for an easy afternoon in the sun? For all of these activities, it’s hard to find a better destination than Kings Park.

From beautiful grassy knolls overlooking the city, to cafes, a lake area with kids playground and benches and table galore, the opportunities are abound!
